Disgaea

Based on the quirky video game of the same title, Disgaea takes place in the Netherworld, where the king has died and people are at war for the throne. The king's son is the rightful heir, however, and he is ready to fight for his birthright. It won't be easy, but with the help of a spunky warrior woman, an angel-in-training, and a squad of exploding penguins, he has a good chance of restoring peace to the land and assuming his rightful place as king.
